Our story began in London in 1987 when we opened the Old Compton Cafe. We soon changed our name and became well renowned as Balan’s. We yearned for sunnier climates, palm trees and decided to move stateside in 1997. In 2008 we opened Balan’s Bar & Brasserie, located in the heart of Brickell.
In 2018 Balan’s was re-envisioned, completely renovated and brought back to its roots in a more refined way to reflect the vision of the second generation of Balan’s. Jonathan and Keva wanted to create a chic brasserie focusing on European cuisine & craft cocktails, a space that they as foodies can be proud of. It is important to create a space with a great vibe that also delivers on service and quality.
Our executive chef has worked to create menus taking into consideration all of his training and experience to deliver the best of dishes for you to enjoy. We are true believers in buying local and supporting local, we have created seasonal menus working with some of the best local vendors in Miami to stay true to our vision.
