About us

Taste is everything

Our story began in London in 1987 when we opened the Old Compton Cafe. We soon changed our name and became well renowned as Balan's. We yearned for sunnier climates, palm trees and decided to move stateside in 1997. In 2008 we opened Balan's Bar & Brasserie, located in the heart of Brickell. We are an ALL DAY family owned restaurant. Join us to enjoy a diverse menu with something for everyone.

Enjoy the best restaurant in Brickell. We are open All Day, Everyday serving a Contemporary American menu with European dishes. Join us for Breakfast and enjoy classics like Eggs Benedict or French toast with delicious smoothies and coffee. Our Lunch menu focuses on a mix of lighter dishes like salads and bowls or if you are looking for the best Burger or BLT in Miami. On the Dinner menu guests will enjoy an array of dishes from our Raw bar such as Oysters or Tuna Tartare, golden brown Bang bang shrimp,  fresh pastas plus a mixture of seafood and grill menu items. There is something for everyone to enjoy!

Step into a Winter Wonderland this Christmas at Balan’s Brickell. Our dining room has transformed for the season with over seven sparkling Christmas trees, shimmering silver ornaments, blue and white snowflakes, twinkling lights, and festive décor that sets the perfect backdrop for your holiday celebration.

Christmas Feast Buffet Brunch | 11am–3pm | 65pp

Begin your Christmas Day with our abundant Buffet Brunch, featuring a vibrant Seafood & Raw Bar, fresh pastries, artisan cheese & charcuterie, omelets made to order, a HOT waffle station, winter salads, and more.

Enjoy our signature Carving Station with Christmas Turkey, Honey-Glazed Ham & Prime Rib, paired with classic holiday sides including Potato Dauphinoise, Sourdough Stuffing, Mac & Cheese, Brussels Sprouts, Green Beans, Red Wine Jus & Cranberry Sauce.

Finish with a sweet visit to our Dessert Pavilion, offering Cranberry & White Chocolate Bread Pudding, S’mores Tres Leches, Key Lime Pie, a Chocolate Fountain, and fresh fruit.

Christmas Day Dinner | From 4:30pm | 3-Course Menu 65pp++

Continue the festivities into the evening with a warm and elegant 3-course Christmas Dinner. Start with seasonal appetizers like Roasted Pumpkin Soup, Harvest Salad, Crispy Ham Croquettes, or Hamachi Crudo.

For mains, enjoy holiday favorites including Roast Turkey & Ham with all the trimmings, Prime Rib, Crispy Skin Branzino, Wild Mushroom Pasta, or NY Strip (+20).

End with decadent desserts such as S’mores Tres Leches, Brandy Apple Tart, or Pecan Pie.

Our regular à la carte dinner menu will also be available.
